BookCamp

BookCamp is a community and training center where writers work with a 20-year publishing industry insider and other writers to get their books published.

Here's what you get inside BookCamp:

  • A “Fireside Chat” once a month. This is your chance to get one-on-one writing feedback and guidance from a 20-year publishing pro, editor, and writing coach.
  • Submit your content for editorial feedback! The first seven days of each month we accept two-page submissions and provide a professional critique of whatever you send us!
  • Live Events every month. These include conversations with experts, virtual writing retreats, and multi-session master classes.
  • Weekly coworking sessions. We currently offer 12 coworking sessions per month, including daytime and evening, weekday and weekend sessions. Show up with your BookCamp community and work on whatever you like! It's a great way to stay connected and accountable!
  • Members Area with hundreds of trainings on how to establish a writing habit, grow your audience, refine your book concept, get published, and market your book.
  • Our Private Facebook group, an active community of writers who all want to help each other get their books into the world. You don't have to do this alone!  You’ll have encouragement and accountability for all of your writing projects.

Please note: There is no minimum time commitment when you join BookCamp. You can cancel your subscription anytime. We hope you'll want to stay with us until you get your book (or books!) into the world, but it's up to you.

What People Are Saying:

BookCamp helped redirect my difficult health journey into a traditionally published book. I started with no online presence and I was tempted to tuck tail and run. But after joining Chad for a platform class, I decided he was the real deal, and I have been part of BookCamp for three years. During that time, I have published dozens of articles, grown my platform, exploded my email list, signed a publishing contract, launched a book, and sold more copies than I ever imagined. Chad’s experience is invaluable, and his availability is unmatched. The expansive resources and support inside BookCamp helped position my platform, hone my message, tweak my title, and plan a launch that was both effective and manageable.

Lori Ann Wood, author of *Divine Detour*

BookCamp has been great in many ways. I’m able to easily connect with fellow authors and receive constructive feedback on lots of things – like my book titles, covers, and descriptions. It’s great to have access to Chad Allen, an industry insider, and to be able to connect with members on various parts of their author journey. BookCamp is great value and offers so much: a community of authors, masterclasses, live sessions with industry experts, Zoom work together sessions, and direct writing coaching from Chad.

John Christopher Frame, author of *Increase Your Leadership Impact*

BookCamp has been instrumental in my journey as a soon-to-be-published author! Chad has an amazing way of nurturing and challenging writers with his wisdom and creative insights. He has created a great community for networking and accountability and goes above and beyond to find other experts to pour into BookCampers. In fact, BookCamp expert interviews, Chad's one-on-one coaching, and the opportunity to receive editorial feedback stand out as some of the most valuable resources I've encountered on this path.

Valerie Ellis, author of *Share the Joy! A Christmas Lift-the-Flap Book*

BookCamp is an awesome experience, regardless of where you are in your writing experience. Each month, there is an opportunity to have Chad evaluate a sample of your writing, be it from a book, blog post, newsletter, or whatever. Then there are the writing communities where we log in and write whatever we are working on. It's a pleasure to know you are not alone. There is much more as Chad guides you from finding a storyline to publishing your masterpiece. There are a ton of sites out there for aspiring (and veteran) writers, but none more valuable than Chad's BookCamp!

Steve Wilcox, author of *Finding Ted James*

It’s been a joy and privilege to work with Chad Allen. Chad is hands on, but doesn’t handcuff. He’s engaged, but doesn’t micromanage. At the end of the day, I want an editor who “gets me” and “gets the book” I’m writing. That’s Chad in a nutshell

Mark Batterson, New York Times bestselling author

Not only is Chad Allen a keen, insightful editor who gently challenges me when I need to be pushed a bit, he’s also a delight to work with – warm, generous, and engaging, a consummate professional and a genuinely terrific person. I appreciate his responsiveness to my questions, his willingness to collaborate and brainstorm, and his obvious dedication to and knowledge of the craft of writing and editing. I also have a deep respect for him as an expert and leader in the publishing industry. Chad’s publishing experience, his expertise as an editor, and his down-to-earth graciousness all contribute to the reason he is one of the most highly sought-after editors in the business.

Michelle DeRusha, author of *Katharina and Martin Luther: The Radical Marriage of a Runaway Nun and a Renegade Monk*

Working with Chad was important to the overall success of *Living Forward.* He gave us ideas and suggested revisions that significantly improved the overall quality of the book, and I’m so grateful to him for that.
