Your Path to a Successful Book Deal

The path to getting published is seldom obvious. It can be overwhelming to do all the things that are necessary, from clarifying your message to structuring and writing your book to building an audience to pursuing publication. A lot of books never make it to market because of these difficulties.
But it doesn't have to be this way!
Whether your book is a memoir, novel, business book, self-help book, spiritual message, children's book, or another type of book, you CAN get published, and Book Proposal Academy will show you how.

Is Getting a Book Published Worth it?

Make no mistake. Getting a book published is life-changing!
Your book will:
  • have a lasting impact on readers
  • give you instant authority in your field
  • provide an additional source of income
  • grow your business
  • increase your number of speaking gigs
  • be a legacy builder that your children and grandchildren will cherish for generations
  • be the fulfilment of a lifelong dream!

These are just some of the amazing benefits of getting your book published.

Why a Book Proposal?

The best way to start any book project is with a book proposal. And if you're pursuing a traditional book contract, the whole process starts with a book proposal. If you're self-publishing, there's no better way to develop your idea, build your book's structure, and plan your marketing than with a book proposal.

What Is Book Proposal Academy?

Book Proposal Academy is a coaching program and online course that shows you step-by-step how to craft a contract-worthy book proposal.

We help you attract an agent or book publisher without having to navigate the cryptic book publishing world on your own and avoid all the mistakes every first-time author makes.

Specifically, Chad personally helps you create an irresistible book proposal and build the foundation of an author platform that will impress industry decision makers.

This program gives you your best shot at landing a book deal. And even if you don't land a book deal, you'll be miles ahead with a riveting book concept, compelling structure, and winning marketing strategy.

Yes! Let's do this. I'm ready!

WHAT YOU GET IN THE COURSE

Book Proposal Academy is structured around eleven modules. After an introduction module you'll build your proposal step-by-step with five modules that cover the key elements of a book proposal: Brief Description, Table of Contents and Chapter-by-Chapter Synopsis, Bio, Marketing Section, and Writing Sample. Modules 7 and 8 are for fiction and children's book writers. Module 9 will show you how to pitch your book to literary agents and publishers who are active in the business.

1. Introduction

You'll learn about the publishing business, how book contracts work, the role of agents, how to decide between self-publishing and traditional publishing, and how to develop a great book concept.

2. Brief Description

Here you'll learn how to cast a vision for your book. This module helps you craft a description of your book that captures the interest of both publishers and readers.

 3. Table of Contents and Chapter-by-Chapter Synopsis

Writers are experience architects. In this section you'll learn how to structure your book to give your readers an engaging experience that will keep them flipping from page to page.

4. Bio

This module helps you craft a bio that establishes your credibility and presents you as an authority. When publishers and readers review your bio, they'll be eager to hear more from you.

5. Marketing Section

6. Writing Sample

This robust module containing ten training videos teaches you how to write winsome prose that engages readers and publishing committees. You'll learn how to keep them reading from the first page to the last.

7. For Fiction Writers

This module contains three interviews designed to maximize novelists' chances of landing a traditional book deal. The interviews are with successful novelist Lynette Eason on her journey to publication, literary agent Steve Laube on what he looks for when novelists pitch their books to him, and acquisitions editor Kelsey Bowen on how she evaluates fiction book proposals! Hear it all from the insiders!

8. For Children's Picture Book Writers

Want to write and get your children's picture book published? This module containing an interview with former HarperCollins SVP Annette Bourland eliminates the guesswork!
